This article will lay out the stress-free process of joining Primcura Healthcare whilst giving you some top tips to help you be successful.
Applying for a job with Primcura Healthcare?
Applying for a position at Primcura Healthcare is the easiest it’s ever been! The main way to apply is on the Primcura Healthcare Website, we have a quick apply section or you can browse all the available jobs we have posted on there.
If you have any extra information you’d like us to know before you submit a formal application, you can always feel free to call in to the office on 01227 935700 and speak to one of our Recruitment Consultants who can run through the screening process with you.
We’re also very active on social
media such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn as well as Job boards such as
Total Jobs, Reed, CV library and more!
What happens once you application has been submitted?
Once your application has been submitted you will hear from a Recruitment Consultant as soon as possible. This will either be as a phone call or an email, if it is an email we will most likely be asking you for extra information to support your application.
If we call you to discuss your application, this is called a screening call. The screening call is so we can learn more about what you’re currently looking for, what your experience is and if you will be a good fit for Primcura Healthcare. The main criteria we look for is as follows:
·
Right to Work in the UK
·
3 months experience within care
·
How you present yourself to others
· Passion and love to care for others
After your screening call, we will immediately let you know the outcome as we like to get you booked in for an additional in person interview there and then or give you the reasons we won’t be progressing with your application at this time.
What to expect at the interview and any top tips?
On the interview day it is always good to be prepared. We always recommend checking your travel time in the morning as there may be unexpected traffic or delays and always remember to double check you have the correct documents before you come to the interview - You can cross reference the documents you have with the interview confirmation email we send out before interview.
You will be booked in for a 90 minute slot. Not all interviews take 90 minutes however we like to allocate this time because if you have a successful interview, we will usually ask you to sign some documents.
Here are some of my top tips to have a successful interview
Be prepared – Research the company and have the correct documents.
Be on time – Allow time for traffic and we’re
always happy to make you a cup of tea while you wait.
Have some questions for after the interview – This is your time to find out as much as possible about the company and no question is too silly.
Be yourself and be relaxed – We want to learn
about the real you and the interview is more like a friendly conversation so
there’s nothing to be worried about.
Be presentable – We recommend smart casual clothes so you can still be yourself but professional at the same time.
If you follow those tips, you will be well on your way to a successful interview! We will let you know the outcome of your interview either at the end or within 24 hours at the latest. We always welcome asking for feedback after your interview even if successful so we can constantly improve!
Training
If you’re successful at the interview stage, you will then be invited to one of Primcura’s training days. This can be either our 1-day refresher training (if you have recent relevant training) or our 2-day care certificate training.
All training is led by our in-house trainers and catered to the work you may experience here at Primcura as no two days are the same. It is also important to try your best no matter how experienced you are as our trainers do have a say in your on-boarding process and you can have your application rejected if you don’t prove an adequate level of skill at training.
At Primcura Healthcare we also offer other training courses such as PMVA training and many more however this will be for further down the line in your Primcura Healthcare journey.
How long does the on-boarding process take?
We usually aim for a two-week on-boarding process here at Primcura. Some things to keep in mind for why it may take longer is; if we need to process a new DBS, references taking longer than usual to come back or when you would be available for your mandatory training.
We pride ourselves on our strong communication with candidates so you will never be left in the dark and if you would ever need an update on your recruitment process, a member of the team is always happy to help.
If you have any further questions regarding our on-boarding here at Primcura Healthcare, please feel free to give our recruitment team a call on 01227 935700 who are always happy to help or send an email to recruitment@primcurahealthcare.co.uk
