Job Description

A support worker is responsible to deliver high standards of care, protection and support to the children and young people in their care, facilitating their physical, psychological, and emotional well-being. A support worker is required to support children and young people’s educational and recreational development in line with the individual care plans.

 Looking after of vulnerable children/child who are in care. Moderate Challenging, minimal personal care

Working with children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) Learning Difficulties Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in relation to primary need


- To provide young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties warmth and nurture
- Implement care plans and provide support in line with individual needs
- To provide an environment where young people grow and develop.
- To help young people to become self-aware and begin to deal with underlying trauma, loss, neglect and rejection
- To provide a safe, predictable and structured environment where young people’s needs are met without the need for them to resort to challenging behaviour
