About the Role

Primcura Group Ltd is recruiting experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to support an individual within a complex care package in Tunbridge Wells.

The individual has sustained a traumatic brain injury, which has resulted in legal blindness. He has access to a mobility cane, although he does not always choose to use it.

He can experience changes in mood and may occasionally display verbal aggression. This is associated with his condition and can sometimes be unpredictable. He may apologise afterwards and engage positively with staff, although this will depend on how he is feeling.

We are looking for patient, understanding and resilient carers who can remain calm, professional and compassionate, even during challenging moments.

Consistency is particularly important in this package. Ideally, we want to build a small, reliable team of carers who can provide familiar faces, stability and continuity of care.

Shift Patterns

• Day Shifts: 07:00–19:00
• Night Shifts: 19:00–07:00 (sleep-in shifts)
• Saturday Night: 19:00 Saturday – 11:00 Sunday (extended shift).

Please note that night shifts are intended as sleep-in shifts. However, the individual is currently unsettled, meaning staff may experience interruptions during the night and should be prepared to provide support when required.

On Sundays, his mother collects him at 11:00 to spend the day with him.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience within complex care, brain injury, neurological conditions or supporting individuals with behaviours that may challenge.
• Is patient, empathetic and emotionally resilient.
• Can confidently manage situations involving verbal aggression and changes in mood.
• Understands the importance of consistency, routine and familiar faces.
• Can work independently and use their initiative.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is reliable, dependable and committed to providing person-centred care.
