Support Worker / Learning Disability Support Worker

Location: New Romney, Kent

Pay Rate: £13.00 - £14.00 per hour

Contract Type: Full-Time, Part-Time & Bank Hours Available

About the Person You'll Be Supporting, You will be supporting a friendly individual who enjoys:

·         Music and singing

·         Swimming and community activities

·         Social outings and spending time with familiar people

·         Making choices about their day-to-day life

·         Pamper sessions, hair styling, and self-care activities

·         The individual communicates in their own unique way and benefits from patient, caring staff who take the time to build trust, understand their needs, and provide consistent support.

What You'll Be Doing

·         Providing person-centred support and companionship

·         Assisting with personal care and daily living tasks

·         Supporting access to community activities and appointments

·         Encouraging independence and life skills

·         Supporting with meal preparation and healthy eating

·         Promoting emotional wellbeing and positive outcomes

·         Following care plans and risk assessments

·         Completing daily records and care documentation

·         Working closely with families and healthcare professionals

Essential Requirements

·         Right to work in the UK

·         Willingness to complete mandatory training

·         Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

·         Full UK driving licence desirable but not essential
