Role Overview

The role of the Business Support Administrator is to work hand-in-hand with the various departments within the company and to ensure the team runs smoothly & effectively. 

 The role is diverse and will support different sections of the business of most days. It’s an essential role that requires organisation, great communication skills and attention to detail.  


Key Responsibilities

Payroll

  • Prepare weekly client breakdowns
  • Add shifts and timesheets to the system
  • Review payroll reports and flag any issues
  • Track SSP/SMP payments
  • Send deductions, holidays, and expenses to Accounts
  • Manage the payroll inbox and respond to queries
  • Update and maintain PNBL processes
  • Input payroll entries and check pay/charge rates
  • Ensure payroll is completed and signed off on time
  • Provide weekly payroll reports

HR

  • Keep employee records accurate and up to date
  • Monitor staff compliance (DBS, right to work, training, registrations)
  • Chase and update expiring documents
  • Handle HR queries from staff
  • Support with absence, disciplinary, and grievance processes
  • Track sickness and absence
  • Help coordinate training and compliance
  • Support audits (e.g. CQC)
  • Produce basic HR reports

Other

  • Help with general admin when needed (payroll always takes priority)

What We’re Looking For

  • Good organisation, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Clear and professional communication internally and externally
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a high-paced environment
  • A professional and approachable attitude
  • Payroll or HR experience is preferred
  • Healthcare compliance knowledge is preferred but not essential
