Job Title: Self-Employed Personal Care Assistant (1:1 Home Care)
Location: Braintree, Essex
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 08:00 – 20:00 (Day Shift) or 20:00 – 08:00 (Night Shift)

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Self-Employed Personal Care Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support for a 59-year-old lady in her own home in Braintree.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to build a meaningful working relationship while supporting her independence, dignity, and day-to-day wellbeing in a calm, home-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing personal care in a respectful and dignified manner
• Supporting with dressing and daily routines
• Preparing meals and assisting with nutrition
• Prompting and administering medication as required
• Supporting mobility, including use of a wheelchair
• Offering companionship and emotional reassurance
• Promoting independence wherever possible

About the Individual

The client is living with paralysis on one side following a brain bleed. She requires patient, attentive, and understanding support to maintain comfort, safety, and quality of life within her home.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a care or personal assistant role preferred
• A caring, calm, and empathetic approach
• Ability to work independently and follow an established care plan
• Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to consistency of care
• Willingness to work 12-hour day or night shifts
