40As the Registered Manager, you will hold legal responsibility for the home in line with Ofsted regulations. You will ensure the highest standards of care, lead and inspire a dedicated team, and drive the home towards achieving and maintaining an Outstanding Ofsted rating.
Register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager and ensure full compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
Provide strong and inspirational leadership to staff, ensuring a culture of safeguarding, professionalism, and child-centred care.
Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and young people.
Manage all aspects of the home’s operations, including budgets, staffing, policies, and regulatory compliance.
Recruit, train, and develop a skilled staff team, providing supervision and ongoing support.
Ensure that the home consistently meets or exceeds Ofsted expectations and outcomes for children.
Foster positive relationships with young people, families, local authorities, and external agencies.
Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
Significant experience in children’s residential care, with at least 2 years in a leadership/management role.
In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
A proven track record of achieving good or outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
Passionate about improving the lives of children and young people.
Full UK driving licence – desirable.
