Salary: £24,000 – £27,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Service Type: 3-Bed Residential Home (EBD & Trauma)
We are seeking an experienced Residential Support Worker to join our dedicated team in a small, nurturing 3-bed home in Canterbury, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and histories of trauma.
You will play a key role in providing stability, safety, and positive role modelling, helping young people to develop life skills, resilience, and healthy coping strategies.
Provide day-to-day care, guidance, and emotional support to children and young people.
Build trusting, supportive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries.
Implement care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures.
Support young people in developing independence skills, attending education, and accessing community activities.
Promote a safe, positive, and structured environment that encourages growth and stability.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, and other professionals.
Complete accurate reports, logs, and records in line with regulatory standards.
Participate in shifts including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and on-call duties.
Previous experience working in a residential childcare setting (EBD/Trauma desirable).
Understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and behaviour management.
Strong communication, de-escalation, and relationship-building skills.
Resilient, patient, and empathetic with a commitment to making a difference.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards).
Full UK driving licence (preferred).
Competitive salary £24,000 – £27,000 (dependent on experience & qualifications).
