Job Description

Role Overview

As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager to lead and inspire a team of Residential Support Workers. You’ll ensure high standards of care, safeguard the welfare of young people, and contribute to their personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care.

  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and company policies.

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the home, including staff rota management and shift cover.

  • Act as a positive role model for both staff and young people.

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with young people, families, and external agencies.

  • Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and progress reports.

  • Provide guidance, training, and support to staff, fostering a culture of professional growth.

  • Take responsibility for the home in the absence of the Registered Manager or Deputy.

About You

  • Experience working in a children’s residential care setting (essential).

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Compassionate, resilient, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for young people.

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential.

  • Full UK driving licence – desirable.
