Join our Agency Team as a Support Worker in Maidstone!!

About the Role:

We are looking for compassionate, resilient, and proactive Support Workers to join a dedicated team providing 3:1 care and support to a 17-year-old female living in the Maidstone area.

This young person is sensory impaired and presents with challenging behaviour, and requires consistent, structured, and skilled support to help her thrive and stay safe.

  • Promoting positive behaviour through clear, respectful communication.
  • Supporting the young person to engage in activities and routines
  • Providing emotional regulation support and helping her develop life skills
  • Using or learning appropriate communication methods, such as visual aids and Makaton
  • Working closely with family members and professionals to implement consistent strategies

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour or complex needs
  • A calm, patient, and confident approach to behaviour management
  • Experience with or understanding of sensory needs and deaf awareness
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a 3:1 staffing ratio
  • Enhanced DBS required (can be arranged for successful candidates)
  • Must be over 18 and able to reliably travel to Maidstone

Shifts Pattern:

We have shifts available Monday to Sunday 09:30 to 20:00 and 20:00 to 09:00.

What we need from you:

·         Right to work in the UK, with documentation to confirm this

·         At least 3 months of care experience, preferably with experience in supporting individuals with Behaviours that Challenge

·         A full UK driving license and access to a car (preferred)

·         A minimum availability of 24 hours per week

·         Strong communication skills, including regular communication with the office team
